Striper fishing remains top notch with fish over 40 pounds hitting the deck this week.  Blues have filled in as the new moon approached and porgies have set up shop for the summer as well!   Give us a call, we still have some August openings!

We have been transitioning from the spring migration into a summer pattern.  Cow stripers have been hitting the deck almost daily!  Bluefish have been showing themselves on days with stronger tides and sea bass and scup fishing is still going strong. – Call Today!

STRIPERS, STRIPERS AND MORE STRIPERS!

Fishing Report –  Week 1 – 5/27/17

Striped Bass and sea bass action has been excellent right out of the gate. The stripers slowed for a couple trips during a few tides last weekend but the sea bass fishing remained rock solid.  As we approached the new moon the stripers turned back on and the fish started feeding with a vengeance.  We caught quick limits of bass on almost every trip this week and left them biting to chase the sea bass.  This is by far the best May striper fishing we’ve had since 2013, so if you want to catch stripers, now is the time! 

The Spring Run Is On!!!

The 2017 season starts this week!  Our first scheduled trip is May 19^th and there are already reports of fish in the Sound.   To stay informed, be sure to check our facebook page for up to date fishing reports, pictures and videos!

Stripers and Black Sea Bass are the target with plenty of blues, fluke and HUGE porgies mixed in.  May and June are an amazing time of year to be out on the water.  Beautiful weather, flat calm seas, it’s not too hot, not too cold and tons of fish!

Connecticut Fishing Report 5/4/17

We’ve been seeing lots of life in the marina as we work daily on the boat performing maintenance and upgrades.  There are schoolie stripers, tons of bird activity and cormorants have been popping up with herring.  The warm weather this week really spiked the water temperature in the Sound past that magic 50 degree mark and has remained there for the past few days, with Sunday afternoon’s surface temperature peaking up and over 60!

The countdown is on!

Spring is here, the boat is in the water
 and the 2017 Spring Run is about to start!  

May is the PEAK of the Spring Run and we will be targeting both
Striped Bass and Black Sea Bass.

When booking your trip:

*There is always an advantage to booking trips Mon – Fri due to there being less people fishing.  

 *Morning, afternoon or evening trips are equally productive, Sea Bass feed until dark, so don’t be afraid to book an evening trip during May/June, it is typically light out until about 9pm!
