Connecticut Fishing Report 11/6/17

Fishing was great right up until the storm last Sunday.  We received a summers worth of rain in 2 days. It was really like a small hurricane on the shoreline.

Due to the lack of rain from the summer, the torrential rain filled the water with tannic acid, mud and debris at a tremendous level.  The water cleared by Friday and we pulled off a few decent trips, but the Easterly winds and Super Moon tides brought the dirty water right back in.  We cancelled 3 trips so far due to this but it is better than going out knowing we won’t catch anything.

The tides will be settling down by the end of this week and hopefully everything will be back to normal. Mother Nature sometimes isn’t the best business partner.  We plan on fishing until the 19th….fingers crossed.    – Capt. TJ
