Here’s Erin Lawler  with her nice striper from an evening trip this week.

Hot!  Hot! Seabass action!

The seabass bonus season is now, (8 per man) so the time for a sea bass trip is NOW! Black seabass are plentiful along with a lot of LARGE scup. Limit’s all around.

The moon phase has been perfect, and the calendar’s right for some solid striped bass trips, but the truth is, they’re just not here.  The water temp is only 62 degrees and the water temp toward the bottom is much, much colder.  There is just not a lot of forage in the area for the striped bass to feed on.  Bluefish have also been scarce. We are into a lot of stripers that are sub legal (below 28”), but there’s still a bunch of fish in the 25lb -30lb class swimming around that we’ve been intercepting on their journey North.  Blues should arrive in great numbers by the week of the 4th. – Capt.
