The boat’s in the water and ready to go and we are very excited about this season. Everything is looking perfect for our spring run. Mother Nature has definitely been cooperating and this week is no exception with temps forecasted to be near 70 degrees. The Housitonic and other holdover riviers are teeming with stripers and those fish will head into Long Island Sound soon. The water temps are currently right where they should be (52.5F at the dock right now) and there’s already bunker in our harbor and many others along the Connecticut shore. If the temps pan out the way they say they’re going to I expect the Sound to hit the magic 50 degree mark by somewhere around May 5th if not before. The Chesapeake Bay charter fleet is doing well and those fish just spawned and are heading our way too. There is also bass and blues reported to be headed North off of Jersey and Raritan Bay N.Y. We still have some openings for May, textbook perfect conditions for our spring run!
